More than 400 items from rock stars, including Slash’s guitar from Guns N’ Roses, the last poster signed by John Lennon or Queen’s golden microphone, will be auctioned in London on April 30.
Mark Hochman, music expert at auction house Propstore, highlights that this event will bring together some of the most influential names in popular music, from legends like The Beatles, Queen, George Michael and Jimi Hendrix to current global stars like Ed Sheeran and Little Mix, and will be auctioned for an estimated total value of 1.7 million euros, he told EFE.
Hochman stressed that the jewel of the Queen collection is the gold-plated microphone, “made especially for Freddie Mercury and is the most watched item in our auction since the 1980s,” he told EFE. Its price will range between 35,000 and 70,000 euros.

Headlining the auction is Slash’s Gisbon Les Paul ’59 Custom Shop guitar with an estimated pre-sale price of approximately 170,000 to 340,000 euros. Interest in this item is very high and they have already received telephone bids.
Among the top lots is also a large autographed promotional poster of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s ‘Double Fantasy’, signed on the morning of December 8, 1980, just hours before Lennon’s death and believed to be the last item he signed. Its estimated price will be between 70,000 and 140,000 euros.
Another relic available for purchase is George Michael’s jacket, which has been verified by the research team at Propstore, organizer of the auction.
Each lot up for auction offers collectors a tangible connection to the artists and performances that have shaped the soundtrack of many people’s lives, according to organizers, reported Agencia EFE.
