The 2026 NFL season will have its season opener on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Seattle’s Lumen Field stadium with the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks against an opponent to be determined, the soccer league said Wednesday in a statement.
As usual, the first game of the new NFL season will be played in the stadium of the champions, in this case the Seahawks who won the Super Bowl in Santa Clara against the New England Patriots last February.
