Last Monday, June 9, 2025, three members of the Mexican band La Garra Norteña suffered a serious accident when the forklift they were in collapsed from a height equivalent to a fourth floor.
The incident occurred on the premises of Anesma TV, a local television station in Mexico City, where the band was preparing to present their latest single, “Sueño Americano”, on the morning show “Con M de Mañanita”.

The group issued a statement detailing the state of health of those involved:
Javier García Cortés, musician in charge of the sixth bass and second voice, suffered fractures in both legs, a broken rib and a deep wound in the buttock caused by the incrustation of a rod belonging to one of the instruments.
José Alberto Montiel Ortiz, a member of the staff, suffered cranioencephalic trauma, a 12-centimeter wound to the right eyebrow and a fractured leg.
Diego Armando Calderón Rojas, also a member of the technical team, suffered fractures in both legs and has a fragmented right ankle.
The three affected are in the process of recovery, and it is expected that they will receive the necessary support for their rehabilitation.
Legal action and suspension of the television station
Following the incident, the Mayor’s Office of Álvaro Obregón placed suspension seals on Anesma TV’s facilities to allow the corresponding investigations.
The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office has also initiated an investigation to determine legal responsibilities for the accident.
The television company has expressed its willingness to cover medical expenses and to cooperate with the authorities in the clarification of the facts.
