U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday that photographs related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation in which he appears, and which were released today by Congress, are “no big deal.”

Asked by reporters in the Oval Office, the president downplayed the photos insistently disseminated by House Democrats, adding that “there are hundreds of people who have photos with him,” and reiterated that he knew nothing about the activities of the pedophile, who died in 2019.

“Everybody in Palm Beach,” where Trump has his Mar-a-Lago residence, “knew this man,” he added.

Among the 19 images released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are those of Trump posing with six women, whose faces have been covered to protect their identities, another of the president talking to a woman next to Epstein and another sitting next to another girl.

In addition to the president, the file also includes Steve Bannon, Trump’s former advisor and ultra-right-wing leader, former President Bill Clinton and tycoon Bill Gates, along with former Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his titles by his brother, King Charles III of the United Kingdom, following his involvement in the case.

According to Democrats on the committee, these photos are a preview of the 95,000 new images they have received related to Epstein.

Prior to the Republican’s reaction the White House had reacted through a spokeswoman who assured that, “House Democrats are selectively releasing carefully chosen photos with random censorship in an attempt to create a false narrative.”

Last November 18, Congress passed a bill to make public all records related to the Epstein case that are not classified.

This rule, which the President, Donald Trump, ratified, gives the Department a maximum of 30 days to make public all documents related to Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.
