The Tigres UANL of Argentine world champion Ángel Correa will host Canadian side Forge FC tonight with the aim of taking advantage of their home advantage to win and reach the round of 16 of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
The Mexicans played to a scoreless draw last Tuesday in a match that was played in sub-zero temperatures; the team dominated most of the time, but was unable to break the Canadians.
Tigres seeks to impose conditions at the Volcano
This Tuesday, at home in Monterrey, the Tigres of Argentine coach Guido Pizarro will be out to impose conditions.
This against an opponent that, although inspired by the end of a six-game losing streak, lacks power in attack and order in defense.
In theory, the Forge have the advantage because, as they have not conceded a goal to Tigres as visitors, a draw with goals will take them to the round of 16.
In practice, Pizarro’s regios have everything in their favor and will go out to impose conditions with an offense that will have Correa and Frenchman André Pierre Gignac as its main stars.

Prior to the start of the series, Forge coach Bobby Smyrniotis acknowledged that the Tigers are the best team in the Mexican League in the last 10 years.
However, he was confident of stopping them. They managed to do it in their stadium in tough conditions for Monterrey and now they will have a great challenge.
With midfielder Kyle Bekker leading their attack, Smyrniotis will look to hurt the Mexicans.
However, their priority will be to stop the opponent and, only from there, to think about offense.
The winner of the series will face in the round of 16 the best of the series between Cincinnati of MLS and Dominican O&M University.
