Toronto celebrated in the Bronx.
The Blue Jays defeated the Yankees 5-2 in Game 4, closing out the (ALDS) Division Series 3-1 and clinching their ticket to the MLB American League Championship Series (SCLA) for the first time since 2016.
Road to here

Since its great regular season (94 wins and 68 losses), Toronto has taken first place in the East Division by virtue of head-to-head advantage over New York.
In this postseason, they even broke a negative streak of seven consecutive games without a playoff win by winning 10-1 in Game 1 against the Yankees.
Game 4 was key:
Early on, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. sparked the offense with a single that produced the first run.
Then, George Springer hit a sacrifice fly to extend the lead.
Nathan Lukes also contributed with a timely hit, and the blue bullpen was able to contain the opposing offense with eight pitchers used by manager John Schneider.
Jeff Hoffman closed the game with a strikeout of Cody Bellinger to seal the series.
Guerrero Jr.’s performance was outstanding: in the series he batted .529 with three home runs and drove in nine runs.

For the Toronto Blue Jays, this move to the SCLA represents a long-awaited return:
They had not reached this stage since 2016.
They now await the winner of either the Detroit Tigers or Seattle Mariners to face off in the Championship Series beginning October 12.
For U.S. Hispanic fans, this win represents pride, excitement and a connection to Hispanics within the franchise:
Guerrero Jr. embodies that blend of Latin American talent and passion.
This Toronto 2025 is not a “walk-on” team: it has shown character, resilience and the ability to excel in the postseason.
