Mexican singer Ángela Aguilar has resumed her musical agenda with the start of her long-awaited “Libre Corazón” tour, a series of concerts that marks her return to the U.S. stage. The tour, which began last weekend in Texas, is part of the promotion of her most recent album “Nadie se va como llegó”, a project with which the singer seeks to reaffirm her artistic maturity and her connection with the roots of regional Mexican music.
However, as has happened on previous occasions, the return of the 20-year-old artist has not been without controversy and debate in social networks.
The start of “Libre Corazón” coincided with the cancellation of several dates scheduled within the original itinerary of the tour. According to reports in social networks and specialized media, some of these concerts were withdrawn from the calendar due to alleged low ticket sales, although neither the singer nor her production team have issued an official statement on the matter.
Despite this, Ángela decided to continue with the confirmed shows, performing in venues in different cities in the southern United States. The show combines modern visual elements, theatrical choreographies and a sound proposal that mixes cumbia, pop and regional Mexican music, in tune with the style she has been developing in her latest albums.
However, some users on social networks began to compare the staging of “Libre Corazón” with the visual aesthetics of “Latinaje”, the recent tour of Argentine singer Cazzu, partner of artist Christian Nodal, with whom Ángela was romantically linked months ago. These comparisons fueled criticism and generated an intense debate between followers and detractors of both artists.
Ángela Aguilar: Viral images and the singer’s response

Negative comments increased after videos of the first concert of the tour were circulated, showing empty seats and part of the audience more focused on their phones than on the stage. The images were replicated by different users on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, accompanied by divided opinions about the performance and the young singer’s call.
Far from ignoring the criticism, Ángela Aguilar decided to respond elegantly through her social networks. On her official Instagram account she posted a message that was interpreted as a direct response to those who question her talent or the viability of her tour: “I feel deeply grateful, blessed and excited for what is to come. May you never turn off your voice or your heart. Because as long as there are those who sing with me, ‘Libre Corazón’ will continue to beat”.
Along with the text, the singer of “Qué agonía” shared a behind-the-scenes video of her recent performances, where she can be seen rehearsing, spending time with her team and greeting her fans, in order to thank her audience for their support and leave behind rumors of failure.
The singer’s message generated a wave of mixed reactions. While some users expressed their unconditional support – “Thank you for such a beautiful concert”, “You are not alone”, “You deserve the best, Angela”-, others took the opportunity to criticize her style and repertoire, pointing out that she “sings pure covers” or that she “lacks authenticity”.
Despite the controversy, Angela has continued with her performance schedule and maintains an optimistic attitude. The “Libre Corazón” tour will travel during the next few weeks to different cities in the United States, including Tucson, El Paso, San Jose, Hollywood, Bakersfield and Las Vegas, where it will close on December 13.
With this tour, Pepe Aguilar’s youngest daughter seeks to reaffirm her artistic independence and consolidate her position as one of the most influential female voices of the new generation of regional Mexican music. Her album “Nadie se va como llegó” explores themes of introspection, heartbreak and emotional freedom, showing a more mature and experimental side.
Although criticism has accompanied the start of her tour, Ángela Aguilar demonstrates resilience and determination, defending her right to grow, reinvent herself and continue her path in music on her own terms.
“As long as there are those who will sing with me, I will go on,” reaffirmed the young artist, making it clear that, despite the controversies, her free heart will not stop.
