The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said Sunday that he is willing to publish the results of the MRI that was performed on him in October, a test that has generated doubts and public debate due to the lack of information about the reason for the examination. According to what he said, he does not know exactly what part of his body was checked, although he assured that it was not the brain.

During his return to Washington aboard Air Force One, Trump answered questions from the press about his health, a topic that has gained prominence in recent months. “If they want the results released, I will,” the 79-year-old president said when asked by a reporter why he had not yet given details of the MRI performed weeks ago.

Trump doesn’t know what part of the body the MRI was of

The conversation came on the same day that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz – who was Kamala Harris’ running mate in the 2024 presidential election – publicly questioned the president’s mental capacity and suggested that his physical health has deteriorated.

Governor Tim Walz’s comments revived a debate that has accompanied Trump since the beginning of his new term.

Trump responded by assuring that, although he does not know what exact area was analyzed, he can rule out that it was the brain.

“I have no idea, it was just an MRI. It wasn’t the brain, because I took a cognitive test and passed with flying colors,” he said, insisting that he got a “perfect” grade.

In a defiant tone, he told the reporter present, “A note you would be incapable of having.”

What is really known about his health condition?

In 2025, the president’s health has generated multiple headlines. In addition to his age – he turned 79 in June – photographs have circulated showing visible bruises on one of his hands.

In February, the White House explained that these marks were a consequence of the intense handshakes he performs during his public events.

Later in June, an official medical report noted that Trump suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, a common condition in older adults related to blood circulation.

However, the medical team stated at the time that the president is in “excellent health”.

The MRI, Trump previously indicated on Oct. 27, was part of a medical checkup that he described as “routine.”

Nor did he then offer any details about the reason for the examination, limiting himself to stating that the results had been “perfect”.

Why this information matters to Hispanics in the U.S.

The health of a president has direct consequences on political stability, the economy and the continuity of decisions on key issues such as immigration, national security, the economy and diplomacy.

For Hispanics living and working in the United States – many of them affected by the federal government’s recent immigration policies – clarity about the president’s physical and mental capacity is critical.

The Trump administration has made high-impact immigration decisions during 2025, including temporary asylum suspensions, tightening of green card reviews, and restrictions on migration from multiple countries.

His medical condition, therefore, is closely watched by both analysts and communities that depend on the stability and predictability of his decisions.
