From Donald Trump, the first U.S. president in office to attend an NBA Finals, to unleashed stars like actors Ben Stiller and Timothée Chalamet and film director Spike Lee, Madison Square Garden was filled with VIPs on Monday for Game 3 between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs.
After reaching a price of $7,000 for the cheapest tickets a few days ago, this Monday a seat at Madison Square Garden was selling for around $5,300 and the New York pavilion was sold out to support the Knicks’ dream of winning an NBA ring for the first time in 53 years.

Trump, invited by Knicks owner James Dolan, was greeted by a resounding cheer from the Garden crowd when cameras showed him during the U.S. national anthem.

He watched the match seated in a box in the first ring of the pavilion, protected by a glass barrier, as part of the strict security measures deployed to ensure his protection.
Ben Stiller, Spike Lee and Chalamet opted for a more immersive experience and were seated, as usual, in the coveted courtside seats.
A front row seat at Madison Square Garden was selling for upwards of $70,000.

Spike Lee was one of the most agitated, vociferously protesting referee calls in favor of the Spurs and loudly celebrating every offensive play by his team.
Among the other celebrities present at the Garden were former Knicks players Patrick Ewing and Walt Frazier, reported Agencia EFE.
