The world has its eyes on the “Red Zone” in Islamabad. In a mission that defines the future of global peace, Vice President JD Vance, accompanied by advisor Jared Kushner and envoy Steve Witkoff, has landed on Pakistani territory to face the Iranian delegation. It is not a courtesy visit; it is a negotiating table under the shadow of a military timer.
President Donald Trump’s mandate is clear and cutting: either Iran guarantees the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and halts its nuclear program, or the U.S. war machine will resume its offensive in just 14 days. “If they try to fool us, they will find an unresponsive team,” Vance warned as he stepped onto foreign soil.

The U.S. delegation led by Vice President JD Vance landed Saturday at the Nur Khan airbase outside Islamabad to begin direct talks with the Iranian delegation to agree on a roadmap to end the war.
“The U.S. delegation, headed by Vice President JD Vance, is already in Islamabad. The entourage landed moments ago at the Nur Khan air base in separate planes,” a security source told EFE on condition of anonymity.
Vance is traveling accompanied by special envoy Steve Witkoff and advisor Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, hours after the Iranian delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, also arrived in the Pakistani capital.
According to the images released, Vance was received by Pakistan’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister, Ishaq Dar, before being transferred to the so-called “Red Zone” of the capital, the administrative area where the negotiations will take place under strict military surveillance.

The Iranian delegation was received Friday night by Dar and Army Chief of Staff General Asim Munir and is accompanied by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, Supreme National Security Council Secretary General Ali Akbar Ahmadian and Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati.
Vance arrives in Islamabad with a mandate from President Donald Trump to demand the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and assurances on the nuclear program, under the threat of resuming the military offensive in two weeks if there is no agreement.
“If the Iranians are willing to negotiate in good faith, we are willing to reach out. If they try to deceive us, they will find an unreceptive negotiating team,” he warned.
Shortly before the meeting, Trump claimed from the United States that Iran is “militarily defeated” and that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened “with them or without them.”
“If there is no agreement, we will be able to end this one way or another,” the president told reporters.
