The hospitalization of actress Yadhira Carrillo has set off alerts among colleagues, followers and the media, after it was confirmed that she is suffering from a complicated case of influenza.

The artist, who recently concluded her participation in the soap opera Los Hilos del Pasado, was admitted to a medical center after presenting symptoms that required specialized attention and constant monitoring.

At first, there were versions that pointed to a possible covid-19 infection as the cause of her absence in public engagements. However, this information was denied by actress Laura Flores, a close friend of Carrillo, who clarified that the real diagnosis is influenza and that her health condition should not be taken lightly.

According to statements made by Laura Flores to reporter Berenice Ortiz on January 21, Yadhira Carrillo’s situation is delicate and has required immediate hospitalization. Flores explained that it was the actress herself who wrote to her to inform her that she was being admitted to the hospital, which generated strong concern among her close circle.

“Poor thing, she got the flu, she is hospitalized. Today she wrote me and told me she was being admitted to the hospital. Yes, it is delicate,” Flores told the media, stressing that this is not a mild case or a preventive measure, but a medical necessity derived from the evolution of the symptoms.

This information coincides with Carrillo’s absence at an event held on January 16 in Mexico City, where the cast of the telenovela gathered for a special screening of the final chapter. The actress was unable to attend due to the health complications she already had at that time.

Laura Flores also shared her own experience with influenza, providing a clear perspective on the importance of prevention and timely care. The actress related that both she and her son were infected after returning from a vacation in December. In her case, since she had been vaccinated, the symptoms were mild; however, her son faced a much more severe case since he had not been vaccinated.

“First it hit my son, taking us off the boat on New Year’s Day, and then it hit me. He got it really hard because he didn’t want to get vaccinated,” she explained, highlighting the difference in the body’s response to the virus.
