Emily in Paris and Stranger Things! The series arriving this week on digital platforms

The series that premiere on Netflix, Primer Video, HBO Max and more.

Two of the biggest and most followed series phenomena of the last decade, ‘Emily in Paris’ and ‘Stranger Things’, reign supreme in a December series grid marked by Christmas.

‘Stranger Things’ (Netflix, December 25)
The premiere of the fifth season of the mythical series managed to collapse the Netflix server and no less is expected with the new installments. Three new chapters arrive on December 25 and the finale will arrive on December 31.

The fifth season of‘Stranger Things‘ takes fans of the series back to the fall of 1987, with the delicate situation in Hawkins due to the opening of new ‘interdimensional rifts’. Meanwhile, the government confines the town and searches for Eleven, and the gang of local heroes unite to find and kill ‘Vecna’.

‘Emily in Paris’ (Netflix, Dec. 18)
Emily Cooper – Lily Collins – left Paris in the last chapters of the previous season to embark on Italian adventures and there the series continues. The protagonist will have to face new professional and love challenges with Marcello – Italian actor Eugenio Franceschini – in a series of challenges in which much of the main cast returns.

‘The Abandons’ (Netflix, Dec. 4)
Two families from different social classes led by their matriarchs – Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson – fight for supremacy in a lawless land. This fast-paced ‘western’, signed by Kurt Sutter -‘Sons of Anarchy’-, set in 1854, evokes the American struggle between rich and poor, in a place beyond the reach of justice.

‘Fallout’ (Amazon Prime, Dec. 17)
The second installment of the famed ‘Fallout’ video game series comes to Amazon Prime with Bethesda and Christopher Nolan as executive producer. The plot, set two hundred years after the nuclear apocalypse, picks up where the story left off to take the viewer on a journey through the Mojave wasteland to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.

‘Man vs Baby’, (Netflix, Dec. 11)
Rowan Atkinson (Mrs. Bean) brings to life Trevor, who hopes to spend a quiet Christmas in the care of a luxurious penthouse at Christmas, but finds himself with other small and unexpected company. A series, with the actor himself as scriptwriter, in which there is no shortage of endearing mishaps and Christmas adventures.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ (Disney+ Dec. 10)
Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) is about to set sail for the Sea of Monsters. Based on the second book in Rick Riordan’s ‘Percy Jackson’ collection, the second season of this popular series follows the son of Poseidon on his nautical journey in the company of his friends Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) to thwart Luke (Charlie Bushnell) and the titan Cronus’ attempts to conquer Olympus.

‘Reykjavic Fusion’ (AMC+, Dec. 10)
Ólafur Darri Ólafsson -‘The Severance’- brings to life a prestigious chef who is forced to accept drug money when he gets out of prison to set up his new restaurant. Halfway between ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘The Bear’, the series delves into an action-packed thriller that combines haute cuisine, organized crime and family drama.

‘Accidente’ (Netflix, December 10)
The Mexican series ‘Accidente’, directed by Klych López and Gracia Querejeta and written by Leonardo Padrón, kicks off its second suspenseful installment after garnering millions of fans worldwide. The series reveals new secrets and characters after the tragedy that affected four families and in which, to move forward with their lives, they must choose between redemption and revenge.

‘Jabaekui Daega’ (Netflix, Dec. 5)
Two of Korea’s most popular actresses split the lead in ‘The Price of a Confession,’ a suspense thriller that follows Yun-su, a woman accused of killing her husband, and Mo Eun, a mysterious woman who offers her a deal to move on with her life, Agencia EFE reported.
