Ringo Starr continues to expand his musical legacy, as at the age of 85, the former member of The Beatles announced the release of his new album entitled Long Long Road, which will be available on April 24, 2026.

The project was once again produced by T Bone Burnett, with whom he already worked on Look Up (2024), an album with a strong country influence that marked an important stage in the British musician’s recent career. In a statement, Ringo expressed his enthusiasm for this new collaboration: he said he feels “blessed” to work with Burnett and explained that the album’s title refers to the long journey he has had in music.

Ringo Starr’s new album, Long Long Road, contains 10 songs and was recorded with the same core of musicians that participated in his previous work.

Burnett called the group “The Texans”, in allusion to the band that Ringo was part of in Liverpool in 1959.

The ensemble includes:
Paul Franklin
David Mansfield
Dennis Crouch
Daniel Tashian
Rory Hoffman
Patrick Warren
Colin Linden

In addition, the album features renowned guests such as Billy Strings, Sheryl Crow and St. Vincent.

This reinforces the crossover between the classic rock legacy and the contemporary American country and folk scene.

Burnett explained that he always perceived in Ringo a sensibility close to the Texas sound and stressed the importance of surrounding him with young musicians to bring new energy to the project.
