The Mexican National Baseball Team displayed a 16-hit attack on Sunday to demolish Brazil 16-0 in a game that lasted only 6 innings in the third day of Group B of the World Baseball Classic.
The date at Daikin Park in Hoston (Texas) was brought to an early end by the so-called mercy rule, which ends games when an opponent has a 15-run lead after the fifth inning.
Dominates from the first inning

Hours earlier, also at Daikin Park, Great Britain’s team bowed out of the tournament with a 7-4 loss to Italy, which remains undefeated with two wins.
The Brazilians and the British have now lost three times in Group B of the tournament.
As a result, five teams have now been eliminated after three defeats in as many outings.
They are the Czech Republic, Colombia, Great Britain, Nicaragua and Brazil.
In a matchless match, the Mexicans decided the game in the very first episode with four runs.
This was a combination of a double by Randy Arozarena with a single by Jonathan Aranda, a double by Alejandro Kirk, and singles by Vick Gonzalez and Alek Thomas.
From then on there was only one team (Filed under: Mexico humiliates Brazil in the World Baseball Classic).

Alejandro Kirk, catcher for the Toronto Blue Jays of the Major League Baseball, was Mexico’s top player, hitting 3-2 with four RBIs.
Taijuan Walker, who worked three innings and one-third without allowing any hits or runs, was the winner.
Eric Pardhino, with 10 hits and eight runs allowed in three episodes, took the setback.
Mexico added its second victory in Group B, the same record as the United States and Italy, while Brazil has three defeats in three outings, the same number as Great Britain in this World Baseball Classic.
The most anticipated game of Group B will take place this Monday:
Mexico will face the United States, while Brazil will seek its first win against the British. Italy will rest.
