True to form, President Donald Trump gave an exclusive interview to CBS’ 60 Minutes following the chaos at the Correspondents’ Dinner.

Far from appearing vulnerable, the president assured that he remained calm at all times: “I was not worried. I understand life; we live in a crazy world”.

“I thought it was a tray”: Melania’s scare

Trump confessed that, upon hearing the gunshots, his first thought was that some waiter had dropped a tray.

However, he revealed that First Lady Melania Trump had a sharper instinct: “She realized right away that it was a bullet and not a tray.”

Although Melania was upset about the incident, Trump praised her strength: “She had not been through something like this to this extreme, but she handled it very well. She’s a very strong and smart woman.”

As Secret Service agents deployed, Trump admits his curiosity was piqued: “I wanted to see what was going on.”

Full Tension: Trump vs. Norah O’Donnell

The most explosive moment of the interview occurred when the journalist read excerpts from the manifesto of Cole Tomas Allen, the attacker.

The text included serious allegations linking the president to pedophilia issues and the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Trump would not be silenced and lashed out at O’Donnell: “I knew you would read that because they are horrible people. I’m not a rapist, I’m not a pedophile. You read garbage from a sick person.”

The Republican insisted that he was totally exonerated of any association with those issues.

Peace with the press? Not a chance

Despite sharing the attempted bombing scare with hundreds of journalists at the Hilton hotel, Buzzy made it clear that the relationship is not going to improve.

For him, the media and the Democrats “are almost the same thing.”

The promise: Far from canceling future events, Trump promised that in 30 days he will hold the dinner again, but with a security deployment never seen before.

“I am very firm on the issue of crime,” he sentenced.

How about you Onnda, do you think Trump is right to attack the press for reading the “madman’s” manifesto or was the journalist just doing her job?
