What is baseball?
Baseball is a team game where two teams of nine players rotate between offense and defense.

The basic rules
Playing field
The baseball field is shaped like a diamond. At each corner there is a base, and the pitcher is on the mound, located in the center of the field.
The offensive player (batter) stands at home plate and must try to hit the ball thrown by the pitcher.
Turn at bat
When a player is at bat, he must try to hit the ball with the bat.
After the batter connects with the ball, he must run to first base. If he does not hit it, it is counted as a strike. If he receives three strikes, he is struck out.
But if he gets four balls outside the strike zone, he can walk to first base (base on balls).
Team on defense
The defensive team consists of the pitcher, catcher, infielders and outfielders.
The pitcher throws the ball towards the batter with the objective of making him miss.
The infielders are in charge of stopping hits to the bases, and the fielders cover the gaps in the outfield.
