Deadly Chicago Nightclub Shooting Leaves 4 Dead, 14 Injured

A mass shooting in Chicago’s River North neighborhood Wednesday night, July 2, 2025, left four people dead and fourteen injured, local authorities and the Chicago Police Department confirmed.

The attack took place in front of a nightclub, in an area known for its nightlife activity. According to police reports, a vehicle stopped in the vicinity of the club and at least one armed subject opened fire on a group of people in the street, causing a scene of chaos and panic.

The fatal victims of this Chicago shooting were identified as two men and two women.

Aged mainly in their 20s and 30s, according to official sources quoted by ABC News.

Of the 14 injured, three are in critical condition and remain in area hospitals under intensive care.

The attack occurred around 11:30 p.m., a time when many young people and Latino workers often pass through the area for work or recreational purposes, which has generated fear and outrage in the community.

Chicago police are continuing the investigation to identify the person or persons responsible for the shooting.

So far no arrests have been made, but authorities have increased police presence in River North, especially on weekends.
