The cast of the soap opera 'La Madrastra' reunites 20 years after its premiere.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the premiere of La madrastra ( 2005), part of the original cast recently reunited on a film set in Mexico City.

The meeting was part of a special produced for the upcoming program Confesiones, to be aired on TLNovelas, hosted by Mexican journalist Aurora Valle.

The emotional reunion was attended by six iconic figures of the telenovela: Victoria Ruffo, Sabine Moussier, Cecilia Gabriela, Martha Julia, Mauricio Aspe and Mike Biagio.

César Évora, who played the role of Esteban San Román and was unable to attend the meeting, was conspicuously absent.

The images spread by presenter Aurora Valle on Instagram showed the actors sharing laughs and memories in a background decorated with the name of the melodrama.

Cecilia Gabriela described the experience as “unforgettable”, expressing gratitude to the team for making such a special day possible.

The story revolves around María Fernández, a wrongfully accused woman who returns 20 years later to clear her name, reunite with her children and settle accounts.
