Miami Dolphins announced Tuesday that Dominican offensive tackle Bayron Matos was left off the 53-man roster that will play the 2025 NFL season due to injury.

Matos, born 24 years ago in Santo Domingo, suffered a head injury on July 25 during a team training session and had to be taken by helicopter to a hospital.

One day after his admission, the player regained mobility in his extremities.

Bayron Matos was released on July 30 and returned to the team’s facility, which kept him out of action in concussion protocol, causing him to miss all three of the Seahawks’ warm-up games.

Matos is a product of the ‘International Player Pathway 2024′, an NFL program that looks for talent outside the United States with the potential to earn a place in the league.

He was signed by Miami on April 28, 2024 as an undrafted rookie after not being selected in the Draft.

Now, Bayron Matos will look to remain on the Dolphins’ practice squad for a second consecutive year, according to EFE.
