On December 12, 2025, Disney+ will premiere The End of an Era, a six-episode docuseries that will offer an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour.
This release coincides with a period of artistic transition for the singer, who closed her most ambitious tour with a final concert in Vancouver on December 8, 2024.
The Eras Tour | The Final Show, a companion concert film showing the complete final performance, will also be released on the same day, including The Tortured Poets Department album segment, which was not present in the original tour film.
The production aims to unravel how The Eras Tour, considered one of the most resounding concerts in recent history, was planned, experienced and concluded.
The series will include rehearsal footage, personal moments, creative decisions, logistics and Swift’s reflections on what it took to bring a show of that magnitude to more than 50 cities around the world.
Expected appearances include regular collaborators such as Ed Sheeran, Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, as well as her fiancé Travis Kelce, who appears in the trailer practicing scenes that were part of the show.
The first two episodes will be released on December 12, with subsequent episodes airing in two weekly batches, completing the original six.
Taylor Swift and the loss she caused to Netflix

In 2024, Disney acquired exclusive streaming rights to Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) for more than $75 million, beating out offers from platforms such as Netflix and Universal.
This move reaffirmed Disney’s commitment to premium content linked to major artists, at a time when competition among streaming services is intense.
The original film grossed more than $261 million during its theatrical run, breaking records for a film concert.
Prior to this move with Disney, Taylor Swift had collaborated with Netflix on the release of Miss Americana (2019), a documentary that addressed her career, mental health and political decisions. However, her contractual relationship with Netflix changed when the series Ginny & Georgia included a joke about her private life that Swift publicly criticized, resulting in her decision not to renew ties with the platform.
Subsequently, it opted to hand over the rights to the documentary Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions to Disney+, thus consolidating its new partnership strategy with the platform.
The title The End of an Era is a direct reference to the closing of a musical stage in Taylor Swift’s career. The Eras Tour became the most successful of her career, with more than 149 shows, 51 cities and a box office gross that exceeded 2 billion dollars.
At the same time, Swift has released her album The Life of a Showgirl in October 2025, marking the beginning of a new creative chapter.
With these premieres, Disney+ is committed to offering elite and exclusive content for fans of the Swift universe. The docuseries and film allow us to explore not only the magnitude of the show, but also the emotional, physical and artistic toll of the behind-the-scenes process. For many fans, it is an opportunity to relive a historic tour with new revelations and personal insights.
