After opening with ‘La fuerte’ the audience was overflowing with joy as they listened to a mix of ‘Estoy Aquí’ – one of her first number one hits on the charts – and heard the perfect Portuguese greeting from their diva.
“Olá Brasil”, said in a loud and strong voice the Colombian, who made several interventions during her presentation in perfect Portuguese and recalled that she “fell in love” with Brazil after visiting it for the first time when she was 18 years old.
The South American country was the first to open its doors to her when she was just beginning her career and toured the most diverse corners of its geography in small and medium-sized stages, to make herself known and become the queen of Latin pop today.
Classics such as ‘Inevitable’ followed, to move on to reggaeton with ‘TQG’, the song she did together with the also Colombian Karol G, in a presentation in which the choreography and costumes used by the diva in her most recent tour, ‘Las mujeres ya no lloran’, with which she commemorated three decades of career, prevailed.
Shakira dedicated the concert to women, whose strength and resilience she highlighted and reminded them that if alone they can be vulnerable, together “we are invincible”.
‘Pies descalzos’, ‘La tortura’, ‘Hips don’t lie’ and ‘Ojos así’; and several songs from her latest album, which earned her her fourth Grammy, were part of the artist’s repertoire.
La bicicleta’, the song composed as a duet with the also Colombian Carlos Vives, and other songs such as ‘Chantaje’, ‘La tortura’ and ‘Hips don’t lie’, in which Colombian rhythms were the protagonists, made the diva show ‘el tumbao’ from her native country, which made her fly several flags of the coffee nation in the middle of the crowd.
But it was ‘Waka Waka’ the song that most stirred the spirits of the audience near the end of the concert, for the contagious energy of its melody and the display of colors and choreography on stage, which made thousands of attendees jump and sing in unison.

Anitta, the first guest, appeared halfway through the show to perform ‘Choka Choka’ in a duet with the Colombian diva, the song recently released by the artists, and to which the audience danced non-stop.
Although it was an open secret, the Brazilian’s presence was only confirmed when she appeared on stage in an outfit as sparkling as Shakira’s.
She was followed by siblings Caetano Veloso and Maria Betania, two of the most representative voices of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), with whom Shakira performed ‘O leaozinho’, a classic by the singer-songwriter that took the audience back to her childhood, and ‘O que é, o que é’, a song by Gonzaguinha that exalts life and that the diva performed with the Bahian singer.
The round ended with Ivette Sangalo, an old acquaintance of the Colombian with whom she sang ‘Um pais tropical’, a song they had already performed together in 2011, at Rock in Rio.
The biggest free concert for the artist showed the world the power, joy and rhythm of Latin culture, in addition to reinforcing her position as a reference for all ages in the continent.
The audience reached by Shakira surpassed that of Madonna, who in 2024 gathered 1.5 million attendees on this same beach, and almost reached that of Lady Gaga, who last year gathered 2.1 million spectators in Copacabana.
