Local actor Adam Turck, of Richmond, Virginia, died after being shot and wounded on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:17 a.m., when he attempted to intercede in an argument between a 19-year-old man and a woman – presumably his partner – in the historic Shockoe Bottom neighborhood.
While walking his dog, Turck approached to help and was shot by the assailant, who then took his own life. The tragedy quickly went viral and the entertainment community went into mourning.
