Sydney Sweeney, Stephen Colbert and Colombian Sofia Vergara will be among the personalities in charge of presenting the 77th edition of the Emmy Awards, to be held this Sunday in Los Angeles, hosted by Nate Bargatze, the American Television Academy announced Tuesday.
Elizabeth Banks, Jenna Ortega, Angela Bassett, Jason Bateman, Kathy Bates, Kristen Bell, Alexis Bledel, Sterling K. Brown, Jennifer Coolidge, Alan Cumming, Eric Dane and Colman Domingo, are also among the stars that will be part of this gala, which will take place at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, starting at 17.00 local time (00.00 GMT on Monday).
The Emmy Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and the online content platform Paramount+.
The rest of the names announced Tuesday are: Ike Barinholtz, Tina Fey, Walton Goggins, Tony Goldwyn, Lauren Graham, Kathryn Hahn, Mariska Hargitay, Justin Hartley, Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, James Marsden, Christopher Meloni, Leanne Morgan, Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Parker Posey, Jeff Probst, Phylicia Rashad, Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, Michael Schur, Jesse Williams and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Last weekend, during the first night of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, the prelude to the main awards, ‘The Studio’ (Apple TV) led the ceremony with nine statuettes, followed by ‘The Penguin’ (HBO Max), which won eight, while ‘SNL50: The Anniversary Special’ won seven awards.
In addition, ‘Severance’, which starts as the favorite series of this edition, with 27 nominations, has so far received six statuettes, while ‘Andor’, ‘Arcane’, ‘Love, Death + Robots’ and ‘The Traitors’, got four each, reported Agencia EFE.
