Ariana Grande announced Tuesday the beginning of a new musical stage, with the release of her eighth studio album, titled ‘Petal’, which will be released on July 31.
The American artist has welcomed this new chapter with a photo on her Instagram account in which she appears smiling and without her characteristic ponytail.
The new album was co-written by Grande and Swedish-Persian producer Ilya Salmanzadeh.
Last April 18, the artist shared a video on her social networks in which she described this project as “something full of life growing through the cracks of something cold, hard and challenging”.

This announcement comes at a busy time for the artist, who will return to the stage this summer with ‘The Eternal Sunshine’, her first tour in seven years, following her previous album, which will take her across North America with five stops in London.
The tour will focus on the seventh album of her career, ‘Eternal Sunshine’, a reflection on relationships and the harshness of breakups, following the end of her marriage to real estate agent Dalton Gomez.
The tour will also be Grande’s return to the stage since 2019, when she promoted the albums ‘Sweetener’ and ‘Thank U, Next’.
Since then, the singer and actress has focused on projects such as the successful fantasy musical ‘Wicked’, in which she plays Glinda, the second part of which premiered on November 21. The first installment was nominated for ten Oscars, reported Agencia EFE, winning two of them.
