The regular phase of the Liga MX is advancing and the panorama is becoming clearer: there are two teams that are moving at a different pace. However, after a Tuesday matchday where both suffered more than they should have, the question at the Los Jefes Deportes table was inevitable: Who is the number one candidate for the title, Cruz Azul or Toluca?

In this production by Nueva Network and QuéOnnda, the authority on sports held nothing back. Álvaro “El Brujo” Morales, the most controversial and beloved host of the fans, led a debate where tactics, tantrums and soccer hierarchy clashed head-on.

Oiled machine or devils care?

For Morales, Martín Anselmi’s Cruz Azul remains millimetrically on top, despite having “spared the life” of Santos Laguna.

However, Dionisio Estrada and Juan Carlos Gabriel de Anda “El Rey” put their finger on the problem: Toluca faced a much more realistic Liguilla rival in Pumas, demonstrating that they have a “nose for blood”.

“If I have 100 pesos, where do I put 51 and where 49?” questioned Morales, unleashing a flurry of predictions where the scales tipped towards the State of Mexico for its fangs in the final stages.

Tuca’s “Bomba”: Selling Kevin Mier?

The most tense moment of the episode came with the intervention of Ricardo “El Tuca” Ferretti.

The historic tactician, known for his iron character and impeccable reading, unleashed a proposal that sent shivers down the spine of the cementero nation: to get rid of star goalkeeper Kevin Mier.

“I’ll sell him,” Ferretti said. “If you take away a foreign goalkeeper, you can put in a foreign offensive player.

Tuca” argued that Gudiño’s current level is sufficient to provide security in goal, allowing La Máquina to further strengthen its attack.

For his part, Carlos Hermosillo, the Celeste idol, agreed that Gudiño gives the team a sobriety that Mier, with his constant risk-taking outside the box, sometimes calls into question.

A table with a royal hierarchy

Beyond the analysis of the day, the episode stood out for the chemistry (and friction) of its drivers:

Álvaro Morales: The leader who sets the pace and is not afraid to make managers and players uncomfortable.

Juan Carlos Gabriel de Anda: Providing the structure and serious reading of the project.

Dionisio Estrada: The man of hard data and firm stance who does not allow himself to be intimidated by “his majesty”.

Carlos Hermosillo and Tuca Ferretti: Two legends who speak from the experience of having won everything, demanding the technique and hunger that, according to them, many current players lack.

The new episode of Los Jefes is now available on all audio platforms, such as Apple Podcast and Spotify, where you can also listen to other titles promoted by QuéOnnda and Nueva Network, such as Nueva Jugada.
