Sunday’s action confirmed the New York Knicks as the first team to qualify for the Conference Finals, while the Minnesota Timberwolves managed to tie their series against the San Antonio Spurs in one of the most dramatic games of the postseason.

The New York Knicks delivered an authoritative blow by defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 144-114 as visitors.

And complete the 4-0 sweep in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

The team led by Mike Brown is probably going through its best moment of the whole season.

It now awaits the winner of the series between Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Knicks dominated from start to finish in Philadelphia and made it clear that they are real contenders for the NBA championship.

From the first quarter they took full control of the game with an explosive offense and great effectiveness from the three-point line.

Miles McBride was the great offensive figure with 25 points and seven three-pointers.

Jalen Brunson added 22 points and Dominican Karl-Anthony Towns had a solid double-double with 17 points and 10 assists.

Josh Hart also contributed 17 points, while Mikal Bridges and Landry Shamet helped from the perimeter on a historic night for the New York franchise.

The Knicks finished the game with 24 three-pointers made and shot over 70% from the field for several stretches of the game.

On the Philadelphia side, Joel Embiid tried to keep the Sixers alive with 24 points, but the team never found answers defensively.

Timberwolves react to tie the series

In the Western Conference, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the San Antonio Spurs 114-109 to tie the series 2-2.

The match was marked by the sending off of Victor Wembanyama, who received a type 2 flagrant foul after elbowing Naz Reid in the second half.

The Frenchman’s departure completely changed the game.

Although San Antonio managed to stay competitive thanks to Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper and De’Aaron Fox, Minnesota ended up reacting in the fourth quarter.

Anthony Edwards was decisive for the Timberwolves with 36 points, in addition to six rebounds and two assists.

The shooting guard led the ultimate comeback with 16 points in the final period alone.

Minnesota also dominated physically in the paint thanks to the work of Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid.
