Regional Mexican music continues to dominate radio in the United States, and this time it does so with a collaboration that few expected but that ended up becoming a phenomenon: René Camacho’s La Arrolladora Banda El Limón joined forces with Juanes to conquer the top spot on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart.
According to the ranking dated January 17, the song “Una noche contigo” climbed from No. 2 to No. 1, which represents the first collaborative No. 1 for both artists on this chart. For La Arrolladora, this achievement means nothing less than their 21st leadership in the chart, consolidating them as one of the most consistent and powerful regional Mexican groups in the last decades. In the case of Juanes, this is an especially symbolic moment: it is his first No. 1 in Regional Mexican Airplay, something historic for an artist known primarily for Latin pop/rock. René Camacho, founder of La Arrolladora, celebrated the impact of the song and the public’s affection, highlighting how special it was to reach the top alongside Juanes. The musician thanked those who promoted the song on the radio and made it part of his life.
A pop song that became a band

A key fact behind its success is that “Una noche contigo” was not born as a regional song.
The original version was released by Juanes as a pop song in April 2025 and was co-produced by Edgar Barrera and Julio Reyes Copello.
However, the story changed when a new version with a band arrangement was created under the production of Fernando Camacho.
The reimagined version was released on November 14 through FONO/UMLE, and its impact on radio grew rapidly.
According to the aforementioned data, the song achieved an 11% increase in audience impressions, reaching 7.2 million in the U.S. in the tracking week ending January 8 (as measured by Luminate).
La Arrolladora enters the elite group

With this No. 1, La Arrolladora has reached 21 consecutive No. 1 in Regional Mexican Airplay.
Tying with Intocable as the third group with the most first places since this list was launched in 1994.
They are only below Calibre 50 (27) and Banda MS (22), which underlines the size of the achievement.
Other artists featured on this historic roster include Banda El Recodo, Los Tigres del Norte and Christian Nodal, placing La Arrolladora in a conversation of true legends of the genre.

Juanes also climbs in Latin Airplay

In addition to the success in regional Mexican, “Una noche contigo” is also growing in the general Latin panorama.
On the Latin Airplay chart, the track climbed from 6 to 5, marking Juanes’ highest position in more than five years, since “Bonita” alongside Sebastian Yatra reached No. 1 in 2019.
For U.S. Hispanics, this type of collaboration confirms a clear trend:
Regional Mexican music not only dominates, it also reinvents itself, and artists from other genres are increasingly looking to connect with an audience that has enormous weight in today’s music industry.
