The legacy of Ed Williams
Williams began his acting work in theater and paused his career to teach radio drama at a Los Angeles school.
In the 1960s, Williams auditioned again but it wasn’t until 1982 that he landed his best-known role as scientist Ted Olson in ‘Police Squad!’, a comedy television series that satirized police dramas.

In addition to his performance as Olson, Williams played reverends on several occasions, one of the most remembered being in the film ‘Father of the Bride’ (1991), starring Steve Martin and Diane Keaton.
The actor starred in an episode of ‘Crazy Like a Fox’ and appeared in projects such as ‘Ratboy’ (1986), ‘Nickel & Dime’ (1992), ‘Carnosaur’ (1993), and ‘Hollywood Radio Players’ (2022-2023) was the latest, reported Agencia EFE.
