Puede que esté fuera del juego, pero no estoy derrotado. Esta lesión es mi mayor prueba y una oportunidad para fortalecer mi fe. Me levantaré y volveré

How the injury of Micah Parsons happened

The action that caused the injury occurred in the third quarter of the game.

Micah Parsons broke the block to pressure quarterback Bo Nix, but as he made a change of direction, he landed hard on his left leg on the turf and his knee gave way abnormally.

Although the 26-year-old managed to leave the field under his own power, he was immediately sent to the locker room for medical evaluation.

Subsequent tests confirmed the severity of the injury, with an estimated recovery time of at least nine months, leaving him out of both the regular season finale and any possible playoff participation.

Tough blow for Dallas in the home stretch

The absence of Micah Parsons represents a significant impact to the Cowboys‘ defense, which is in the midst of a battle to secure its place in the postseason.

Parsons had once again established himself as the team’s defensive leader, bringing constant pressure on the opposing quarterback and being a key player in defensive schemes.

This season, Parsons accumulated 12.5 quarterback catches, confirming his status as one of the NFL’s most aggressive and productive linebackers.

Micah Parsons came to the NFL after being selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2021 Draft.

Since his rookie season, he has become one of the most dominant defensive players in the league.

In his first five seasons, he has been: Four-time Pro Bowl selection, Two-time All-Pro, Consistent leader in catches and quarterback pressure.

Their numbers back up their impact:

297 tackles

65 captures

10 passes defended

11 forced fumbles

1 defensive touchdown

Looking to the future

Although the injury sidelines him for the rest of the year, both the player and the organization are confident of a full recovery.

Micah Parsons publicly thanked his teammates, coaches and fans for their support, and made it clear that his goal is to come back stronger for next season.

For the Hispanic community that follows the NFL in the United States, Micah Parsons’ injury is a reminder of how demanding the league is and the high physical toll that even its top stars face.
