Spain and Mexico join forces: historic agreement between RFEF and FMF

Includes international matches and training

The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) signed a collaboration agreement this Friday, April 10, for the development of soccer in both countries.

“We feel at home. The talent is given by the players, but we have to give them the tools and that’s why we signed this agreement (with the FMF),” said Rafael Louzán, president of the RFEF.

Louzán accompanied Mikel Arriola, president commissioner of the FMF on a tour.

The event took place at the renovated facilities of the High Performance Center of the Mexican Soccer Federation.

Complex where coach Javier Aguirre’s Mexican national team will be based for the World Cup, which starts on June 11.

This agreement is for the training of coaches, referees and technical personnel, which will be carried out through different practices that both institutions will execute.

The agreement also includes the possibility of holding training matches between women’s and men’s teams of different categories.

Rafael Louzán is in Mexico to promote the preparation match that the Spanish national team will play against Peru on June 8 at the Cuauhtémoc stadium in Puebla.

La Roja will close its preparation for the World Cup, in which it will make its debut on June 15 against Cape Verde in Atlanta, Georgia.
