Tigres UANL, the best-performing Mexican team in the last 15 years, will host MLS side Nashville on Tuesday with everything in their favor to advance to the final of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Last Tuesday, Argentine coach Guido Pizarro’s side defeated the Americans 1-0 with a goal by world champion Ángel Correa, and this Tuesday they will be looking to complete the job to reach the final against the winner of the match between Toluca of Mexico and Los Angeles FC of the MLS.

Tigres is coming into the match on an upswing, as in addition to having an advantage against Nashville, in the league they defeated Chivas Guadalajara 3-1 last Saturday.

It has a good chance of qualifying for the semifinals of the Clausura tournament.

With an attack in which Correa, his compatriot Juan Brunetta and Uruguayan Rodrigo Aguirre will play a key role, the ‘felines’ intend to make their home advantage count.

This was to make a difference against an opponent in need of goals.

Nashville leads the Eastern Conference of the U.S. league, but in the first leg of the semifinal against Tigres they suffered the loss of English striker San Surridge, who suffered a back injury.

It remains to be seen if the attacker is recovered.

If he is not, coach B.J. Callagham will opt to include Argentinean Cristian Espinoza and German Hany Mukhtar in the starting lineup.

Callagham will have to guarantee effectiveness in attack without neglecting his defense, the best in the MLS Eastern Conference.

Something the Tigers will be on the lookout to punish, if Nashville leaves itself space behind.

Tigres has the advantage of having scored as an away team, which means that if it wins or draws goalless, it will qualify for the final.

Nashville will need to win by more than one goal or draw 1-1 and bet on winning in overtime.
