Sony Pictures’ trailer for ‘Spider-Man: A Brand New Day,’ released Wednesday morning, became the most-watched trailer of all time with more than 718.6 million plays in 24 hours, Variety reported.
The trailer surpassed ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ (2024), which held the record with 365 million views, by reaching 373 million in just eight hours with ‘Spider-Man: A Brand New Day,’ according to the specialized media.
At the time, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ had surpassed the teaser for predecessor film ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ from 2021, which reached 355.5 million views in 24 hours.

‘Brand New Day’ marks the return of Tom Holland as Spider-Man since ‘No Way Home’, the film that reunited Spider-Man’s previous performers Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garlfield and grossed $1.9 billion at the worldwide box office.

The cast includes Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
According to the official synopsis: “Four years have passed since the events of ‘No Way Home,’ and Peter is now an adult living completely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of his loved ones.”

The superhero continues to fight New York crime full-time, “but as the demands increase, the pressure triggers a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, while a bizarre new pattern of crime gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced,” the synopsis reads, reported Agencia EFE.
