Papi Juancho has been left behind to make way for the man behind the fame. This Thursday, Maluma paralyzed Medellin with the release of “Loco x volver”, his seventh studio album and, without a doubt, the most intimate project of his entire career. After two years of “Don Juan”, the Colombian decided to pause, look back and reconnect with his roots to heal.
“We are celebrating the rebirth of Juan Luis,” confessed the artist. This 14-song album is not only reggaeton; it is a musical stew that fuses the urban genre with vallenato, salsa, merengue and even dancehall, genres that marked his childhood in the capital of Antioquia.
A tribute to the family and the great ones

The most beautiful thing about this album is the heart he put into it.
The cover says it all: a photo of Juan Luis Londoño as a child, long before diamonds and full stadiums.
Maluma presented the album privately at his grandparents’ home, where he revealed that “Tu recuerdo”, a romantic salsa, is the fulfillment of a dream of his grandfather.
The album is loaded with explosive collaborations that prove that Maluma knows how to play as a team.
From the nostalgia of vallenato with Pipe Peláez, to the power of Grupo Frontera, Arcángel, Ryan Castro and Kany García.
It also includes a priceless piece: “Con el corazón”, the last recording of the late popular music idol Yeison Jiménez.
The gift for your land

Maluma didn’t want this release to stay within four walls.
To celebrate this “homecoming”, the artist offered a free concert at the emblematic Plaza Botero in Medellín.
In front of 8,000 people who sold out in minutes, the singer proved that even though he is a global star, his heart will always beat to the rhythm of his soulful “Medallo”.
“I missed my essence, that dreamy child. And I came back,” he said emotionally.
This album promises to be the soundtrack for those seeking to heal and remember where they came from.
