PopularSouth Korean music groupBTS released a five-minute video Wednesday showing the ins and outs of their visit to the National Palace in Mexico City weeks ago, where members met with President Claudia Sheinbaum as part of the promotion of their ‘ARIRANG’ world tour.
In the five-minute video, the BTS members are seen walking through the seat of the Executive Branch and the residence of the Mexican President while a guide explains the importance of the place.
The meeting with Sheinbaum was attended by RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
“I can’t believe we are here,” said the singers of the popular South Korean band, who made this visit to the National Palace on May 6, prior to their three concerts at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City.

During their tour, they take pictures of the portraits of the presidents or of some paintings.
The video, published on Youtube, also shows their meeting with the Mexican president, whom they thanked for the welcome and the opportunity to visit their place of residence.
“This is the National Palace. It is 700 years old. Come, I will show you my office,” Sheinbaum told them in English.
BTS causes a furor during their visit to Mexico
During her conversation with the BTS members, the President presented them with a “distinguished visitor” award from the Mexican Government.
Later, the musicians can be seen going out onto the balcony of the National Palace to greet thousands of their followers gathered in the capital’s Zócalo, the most emblematic public and political square in the United States.
At her daily press conference on Wednesday, Sheinbaum applauded the “very positive messages” that she believes BTS delivers during their concerts and highlighted the “simple and unpretentious” character of the group’s members.
“It is clear that they liked the visit and they perceived it well because they uploaded a video today of the meeting we had at the National Palace (…) Like any young person, they were impressed by the National Palace, they took pictures everywhere, and then they were very excited when they saw so many people in the Zócalo,” said the head of the Mexican Executive.

BTS’s visit to Mexico was a viral event that shocked their followers and also showed a closeness with Sheinbaum, who promised the group’s return to the North American country.
During their stay, they also visited the Frida Kahlo Museum, the Anahuacalli Museum, known for having been Diego Rivera’s studio, or the Arena de Mexico, where they witnessed wrestling.
ARIRANG’ represents BTS’s return to the stage after serving mandatory military service in their home country, reported Agencia EFE.
