The wait is over for the 50 million Colombian hearts. Technical director Néstor Lorenzo has officially revealed the list of 26 players who will represent the Colombian National Team at the historic 2026 World Cup.
Without last-minute experiments and relying on the hierarchy that built its successful process, the “Tricolor” declares itself ready to conquer North America.
The pillars of illusion: James and Lucho

The call leaves no doubt as to who is calling the shots.
James Rodríguez, the eternal ’10’ who today shines for Minnesota United, and Luis Díaz, the Bayern Munich superstar, lead a roster balanced between experience and youth.
Lorenzo preferred the “tactical memory”, thanking in a press conference all those who raised the team’s competitive bar.
“I thank those who were always raising the bar for the national team to be a competitive place,” said Lorenzo in Bogota.
Notable absences and block of confidence

Although the roster is continuist, the Argentinean tactician had to make difficult decisions.
The most talked about absence is that of Rafael Santos Borré, a warrior of the cycle who finally gave up his place in the face of the great moment of strikers such as Jhon Córdoba and “Cucho” Hernández.
Center back Yerson Mosquera will not be there either, proving that the internal competition was fierce until the last second.
In the defensive zone, security is guaranteed with names such as Davinson Sánchez, Jhon Lucumí and Yerry Mina.
Meanwhile, the midfield will be a pure creative zone with the talents of Juan Fernando Quintero, Richard Ríos and Jhon Arias.

The first ones have already arrived at the rally! 🇨🇴
James, Puerta, Portilla and Davinson start the World Cup dream. And like them, many furry ones are also hoping to make it home. 🐶💛
Responsible adoption is also team building.

Colombia is part of Group K, a zone that promises strong emotions from the start:
Debut (June 17): Colombia vs. Uzbekistan at the legendary Azteca Stadium (CDMX).
Day 2 (June 23): Colombia vs. DR Congo in Guadalajara.
The Big Close (June 27): Colombia vs. Portugal. Miami will be the scene of the most anticipated duel, where James and Cristiano Ronaldo could face each other once again in a match that will paralyze the world.
