The series ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles,’ starring Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer, about a young woman who becomes pregnant and has to drop out of college, will premiere on Apple TV on April 15.
Based on Rufi Thorpe’s novel of the same name from 2024, the series has been created by David E. Kelly, responsible for titles such as ‘Ally McBeal’ or ‘Big Little Lies’, said Monday a statement from the platform.
Along with Fanning and Pfeiffer, who serve as producers, the cast includes Nicole Kidman, Greg Kinnear, Nick Offerman, Marcia Gay Harden and Michael Angarano.
Fanning plays Margo, a bright student and aspiring writer, the daughter of a former waitress (Pfeiffer) and a former professional wrestler (Offerman), who is forced to find any job she can to raise her baby.
The trailer released today shows Fanning’s transformation from model student to sexy video star on the Only Fans platform.
A story that repeats that of her mother, an unrecognizable Pfeiffer, almost hidden under an exaggerated make-up.
A mixture of drama and comedy, the series will have eight episodes, reported Agencia EFE, with the first three to be released on April 15 and one every Wednesday until May 20.
