Hispanic girl goes to sleepover and ends up dead after falling from third-story window

On May 24, 2025, Arya Lebeau, a 12-year-old Hispanic girl, died after falling from a third-story window at a residential complex in Southbridge, Massachusetts. She was at a sleepover at a friend’s house when the tragic incident occurred.

According to preliminary reports, Arya fell from the window of the apartment where the sleepover was being held. Arya Lebeau’s mother, Charlene Cabrera, related that she was informed that an adult would be present during the gathering, but later discovered that the children were alone in the apartment. Authorities, including the Southbridge Police Department and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, are conducting an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the death. The Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to officially determine the cause of death.
