Formula 1 returns to one of the most historic and demanding venues in world motorsport with the Monaco GP (Grand Prix) 2026. The narrow streets of Monte Carlo will once again test the best drivers on the planet in a circuit where any mistake can end up against the wall.

The Monaco GP not only represents glamour, luxury and tradition. It is also considered one of the biggest technical challenges of the whole season due to its tight turns, the minimum distance between cars and barriers, as well as the enormous difficulty to overtake during the race. The official activity of the weekend will take place between Friday, June 5 and Sunday, June 7, with free practice, qualifying and the main race.

Monte Carlo has been part of the official Formula 1 calendar since 1950.

Legends such as Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton and Juan Manuel Fangio have won in its streets.

Unlike modern circuits, Monaco maintains a classic essence.

The urban layout is only 3.337 kilometers long and forces the drivers to maintain absolute concentration during the entire competition.

Among the most famous areas of the circuit are Sainte Devote, Casino, Mirabeau, Loews – the slowest corner in all of F1 -, the tunnel, Tabac, Piscine and Rascasse.

These are some of the main features of the circuit:
Length: 3,337 km
Race laps: 78
Total distance: 260,286 km
Lap Record: Lewis Hamilton (1:12.909 in 2021)
DRS Zone: 1

Due to the difficulty of overtaking in Monte Carlo, qualifying is often of enormous importance.

Getting out in front on the grid can define virtually the entire race at the 2026 Monaco GP.
