Christian Nodal once again generated conversation on social networks after resuming his Instagram account on May 5 under a new name: “El Forajido”.
The reappearance occurred just days after the singer completely removed content from his profile, a move that sparked speculation among his followers and now appears to be related to a legal dispute over the rights to his stage name.
The Sonora native’s new digital stage began with four black and white photographs, published without any description and accompanied only by an hourglass emoji, a detail that many interpreted as a sign of transformation or waiting.

Nodal’s return not only included new images, but also a total renovation of his visual identity. His profile picture was changed to a gray image with flames and the letter “N” in the center, while the visible name of the account was changed from “Christian Nodal” to “El Forajido”. However, the main user continues to be registered simply as “Nodal”.
Another detail that attracted attention was that comments remain disabled, which has limited direct interaction with their followers and has increased the mystery surrounding this new stage.
The drastic cleaning of his profile, carried out on May 1, would be linked to a legal dispute related to the ownership of his artistic name. According to recently released information, Jesús González Terrazas is the holder of the registration “Christian Nodal” before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI), valid until 2036.
This registration would grant control over the commercial use of the name and the products associated with the singer’s trademark. In view of this situation, the interpreter would have taken the decision to officially request the registration of the alias “El Forajido” on April 22, thus anticipating a possible definitive change in his artistic identity.
A completely transformed profile
Before publishing the new photographs, the account showed only three emojis in the biography: a Mexican flag, a nopal cactus and a flaming heart. The minimalist and symbolic aesthetic reinforced the idea of a personal and professional reinvention.
Among the deleted publications were photographs of his wedding with Angela Aguilaras well as some images of his daughter Inti during her first months of life. This decision surprised many followers, who interpreted the deletion as a sign of a break with his recent past.
The four photographs published by the singer maintain a dark and reflective aesthetic. In one of them he appears with part of his face covered by a bandana and hat; in another, he is shown in a close-up that seems to convey introspection or prayer.
