The Irish rock band U2 recorded this Tuesday a new video in the streets of the Historic Center of the CDMX (Mexico City) for the song ‘Street of Dreams’, included in their next studio album, which is scheduled for release later this year.
Band members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. recorded on the roof of a school bus with graffiti by Mexican artist Chavis Mármol, the band said in a statement.

At the top of the front of the bus, where the name of the public service route is traditionally placed, the vehicle had the phrase ‘La calle de los sueños’ (The street of dreams) written on it.
The band, formed in 1976, shared some photographs on their social networks accompanied by a message.
“We took a bus in Mexico City bound for the street of dreams.”
“Justice is an obsession, love is a procession down the street of dreams,” they wrote next to the image.
For the filming, U2 called their fans in the CDMX and other states through an email to participate in the filming.
This took place at Plaza Santo Domingo, between 14:00 and 20:00 local time on Tuesday.
The release also noted that Mexico is hosting the Street Child World Cup 2026, with 30 teams from around the world competing in the city.
The tournament will be held from May 6 to 14.
“It’s a small, high-energy nonprofit for kids with all the talent and no access. Our band is a proud sponsor,” Larry Mullen Jr. said in the release.
They return with political music and revive their most combative spirit.

In mid-February, the band released the ‘Days of Ash’ EP.
Released by surprise with six songs about the current political situation in the world, after nine years without releasing new music.
At the time, the Dublin-based band defined this new work as a collection of songs.
As well as a poem that is “a response to current events, inspired by the many extraordinary and courageous people fighting on the front lines for freedom”.
