FIFA will unveil the match schedule for the next 2026 World Cup in a live global broadcast on December 6 from Washington, where it will also reveal the times and stadiums for the 104 matches.
FIFA said in a statement on Monday, December 1, the broadcast, which will take place at 12:00 noon (17:00 GMT), will be held almost 24 hours after the 12 unpublished groups of four teams are known in the final draw for the tournament.
Infantino to lead FIFA broadcasting

The announcement will be presented by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
He will be joined on stage by FIFA legends and representatives of the 42 qualified teams, as well as those still vying for a place.
During the broadcast, analysis and reactions will be provided on the matchups that will take place in the 2026 World Cup.
Key stories and insights will be shared about the venues that will host the world in June and July of next year.
The broadcast will be offered live on FIFA’s platforms, including FIFA.com and the FIFA YouTube channel.

Teams that have already qualified

So far, 42 teams have secured their place in the 2026 World Cup.
Some of the confirmed selections include:
CONCACAF: Mexico, United States, Canada (as hosts), plus Panama, Haiti and Curacao.
South America (CONMEBOL): Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia and Paraguay.
Europe (UEFA): England, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, Croatia, Norway, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Scotland, among others.
Asia (AFC): Japan, South Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Uzbekistan, Jordan and Qatar.
Africa (CAF): Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, South Africa, Tunisia, Ivory Coast and Senegal.
Oceania (OFC): New Zealand.
Six places remain to be defined through intercontinental playoffs, which will complete the 48-team field that will debut in this World Cup in June 2026.
