The U.S. Justice Department on Friday released thousands of files from the Jeffrey Epstein child molester case, including images of former President Bill Clinton lying in a Jacuzzi and photographs of the late financier with entertainment figures such as Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson.

In one of the images released by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Clinton is shown relaxing in a Jacuzzi, with his arms behind his head, accompanied by another person whose face was censored.

Declassified Epstein Case Documents Released

White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt was among the first to share the photo on her X account, where she reacted with a shocked message, “My God!”

The declassified documents include at least five other images of the former Democratic president.

In two of them he appears with Epstein and in others he is seen at a party with British singer-songwriter Mick Jagger, without the presence of the financier in the latter.

U.S. Justice released a total of 3,965 files, approximately 3 gigabytes in size, spread across four new datasets.

Most are PDF documents, plus a video file and several individual images, some of them embedded in multi-page files.

The authorities stressed that the sensitive nature of the case has forced them to review and censor each document to protect private information and the identity of the victims.

As a result, experts and observers warn that the full release of the files may not provide substantial new insights into Epstein’s web of relationships.

Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in prison, according to authorities, after being convicted of child molestation and prostitution.

Trump, who was initially reluctant to support disclosure of the documents, ended up signing the bill after noting broad support from Congress.

The president is mentioned on several occasions in the files related to Epstein, with whom he was friends before claiming that he broke off relations in 2004, years before the first formal accusation against the financier.

For his part, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche warned Friday that it will not be possible to release all the documents required by law at once due to their volume, and anticipated that the Justice Department expects to release “several hundred thousand more” files in the coming weeks.
