Dwayne Johnson, Anne Hathaway, the Jonas Brothers and Bob Iger are among the personalities who will receive the Disney Legend recognition, the company’s highest award, at a ceremony on August 16.
Composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, actor Alan Tudyk, sportscaster Chris Berman, film producer Jerry Bruckheimer, actress Susan Egan, animator Eric Goldberg and engineer Kim Irvine round out the list of upcoming honorees.
“It is an honor to celebrate our Disney Legends; their impact is felt in everything we do and recognizing them along with the fans who admire their work is what makes this event so meaningful,” Josh D’Amaro, chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company, said in a statement Thursday.

The ceremony will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest and will take place as part of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, which will take place August 14-16, 2026 in Anaheim, California.

According to the release, the event will be available on Disney+ and “filled with tributes and unforgettable moments to honor and celebrate the icons behind the magic who have left an indelible mark on Disney.”
This award recognizes the six decades that Iger, who a few days ago officially stepped down as Disney’s chairman and CEO, dedicated to the entertainment company.
It also celebrates Egan, Johnson, Hathaway and Tudyk, who brought unforgettable characters to life on screen and stage; the Jonas Brothers, who touched an entire generation with their music for Disney; and Lin-Manuel Miranda, for his contributions as composer of modern Disney classics, among others.

Other celebrities who have achieved the title of Disney Legend include Julie Andrews, Angela Bassett, Tony Baxter, Kristen Bell, James Cameron, Jamie Lee Curtis, Miley Cyrus, Marc Davis, Robert Downey Jr., Harrison Ford, Elton John, among many others, reported Agencia EFE.
