Addison Barger hit a home run and drove in two runs, Dominican Vladimir Guerrero Jr. connected for another and scored twice, and rookie Trey Yesavage turned in a dominant pitching performance as the Blue Jays defeated the Mariners 6-2 Sunday to force a decisive seventh game in the American League Championship Series.
The Blue Jays (3-3), who won their first victory in this series at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, will play this Monday against the Mariners (3-3) in the seventh and decisive duel for the ticket to the World Series, where the Los Angeles Dodgers await the winner of the American League.

Yesavage (2-1), who again had the fate of the Blue Jays on his shoulders, responded by pitching 5.2 innings of two-run, seven-strikeout ball to earn the win that kept Toronto alive.
The Blue Jays opened the scoring by scoring two runs in the second inning, when they were able to combine for run-scoring singles by Barger and Isiah Kiner-Falefa off the bat of Mariners’ right-hander Logan Gilbert, who opened the game for the Mariners.
Toronto came back in the bottom of the third when, after two outs, Ernie Clement hit a triple into the left field band and gave way to Barger, who hit a home run off Gilbert to add two runs for the Blue Jays.
The Mariners managed to fill the pads in both the third and fourth innings with one out, but both times Yesavage forced first Cal Raleigh and then J.P. Crawford to hit into a scoreless double-play groundout.
Guerrero Jr. opened the fifth inning with his sixth home run of the postseason, leaving the ground out of the Rogers Centre left field zone, which decreed Gilbert’s exit from the game.
The Mariners broke the ice in the top of the sixth inning and scored twice, the first on Josh Naylor’s home run off Yesavage.
The Mariners’ second run in the sixth act came when Cuban Randy Arozarena singled to right field and scored on a single to right field by Venezuelan Eugenio Suárez against reliever Louis Varland.
The Blue Jays responded with one more run in the seventh inning, when after an out Guerrero Jr. was hit and advanced to second base on an infield hit by Mexican Alejandro Kirk, from where he scored after uncontrolled pitching by reliever Matt Brash, which caused a throwing error by catcher Raleigh to third baseman Suárez, which allowed the Dominican to advance to the plate.
Gilbert (1-1) was hit with seven hits and five runs in four innings to take the loss for the Mariners, who got two shutouts from Venezuelan Eduard Bazardo and a scoreless outing from Dominican Carlos Vargas.
