Brady and Patriots owner raise their voices for Belichick

Kraft questions a historic decision

Tom Brady, the greatest player in NFL history, and Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, on Wednesday joined the grievance against the Hall of Fame for not including Bill Belichick as a new member in his first year of eligibility.

“I don’t understand. I was with him every day for 20 years. If he’s not a first ballot Hall of Famer then no coach should be, which is completely ridiculous; Bill deserves it,” said the former quarterback, who won six Super Bowls alongside Belichick in New England.

Last Tuesday, it was learned that Bill Belichick fell short of 40 of the 50 votes needed to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2026 class.

A decision that took current players and NFL legends by surprise.

Brady, who was drafted by the veteran coach in the 2000 Draft, recalled the impact Belichick had on his successful career.

Despite his sullen character, for him he is the greatest in NFL history.

“There’s no other coach I would have wanted to play for. If I had to pick one to win the Super Bowl, just give me one season and Bill Belichick; that’s enough.”

“It’s unbelievable that he’s not on the ballot; that’s the way the voting world is,” stressed the current television analyst.

Robert Kraft calls it inexplicable

Robert Kraft, who hired Belichick in 2000 as the head coach who turned the Patriots into the NFL’s winningest franchise, agreed with Brady.

He found the decision that the NFL’s winningest coach was not elected to the Hall of Fame in his first year inexplicable.

“You can’t understand it. He’s the greatest coach of all time.”

“Without question, he deserves to be unanimously inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on his first ballot.”

Said Kraft, who remains among the finalists to be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

Trump adds to criticism

Criticism against the voting committee of the immortals’ enclosure came even from Donald Trump, president of the United States.

“It’s the same mentality that imposed the implausible new kickoff rule on professional soccer.”

“The same one that allowed Bill Belichick not to be elected to the Hall of Fame. Both are ridiculous and should be repealed!” the president said earlier in the day.

The NFL Honors ceremony in which the new Hall of Fame inductees will be announced will be held on February 5 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, California.
