In a recent interview with TV Azteca, Canelo Alvarez described his approach:
“My preparation for Crawford will be different. I need speed, power and strength, and my sparring partners need to be at their best.”
He also acknowledged the historical weight of the confrontation:

As a backup, former British boxer Amir Khan warned that Crawford will face devastating power, recalling that Canelo Alvarez has knocked him out before.

Crawford comes in undefeated, looking to move up two divisions.
