In an interview with Claro Sports, César ‘Cachorro’ Montes revealed that several of the most important clubs in Mexican soccer sought to convince him to return to Liga MX during the last few transfer markets.

Although he acknowledged that the proposals were very attractive both in sporting and financial terms, the defender assured that he decided to stay in Europe.

He believes he can still continue to grow as a player.

“There were different offers, very tempting for me and my family to return to Mexico, but we are here following the adventure,” said the Mexican soccer player.

Montes also recognized that returning to Mexico represented comfort and stability.

Especially because of the family environment and the much lower media pressure compared to European soccer.

However, he explained that his main goal remains to compete at the highest level before the 2026 World Cup.
