Concern over the health condition of American country singer Dolly Parton, who in recent days has canceled or postponed several events, has led one of her sisters, Freida, to ask for prayers for her.
“I was up all night last night praying for my sister Dolly. Many of you know that she has not been feeling very well lately. I believe strongly in the power of prayer, and this has inspired me to ask everyone who loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me,” she said Tuesday on Facebook.
The composer “is strong, she is loved and with all the prayers directed towards her” her sister said she is sure she will be fine.
Among the nearly 3,900 comments that this publication received in its first 13 hours, there were those who offered Dolly Parton their kidney “or any other organ that can be donated, without exaggeration”.
The wave of support later led the sister to qualify her words so as not to alarm people.
“I want to clarify something. I didn’t mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when I asked for prayers for Dolly. She has been a little under the weather and I simply asked for prayers because I firmly believe in the power of prayer,” Freida said Wednesday.
Dolly Parton about to lose his life?

Her first message, she added, “was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister.”
“Thank you all for carrying her in your prayers. Your love really does make a difference,” she concluded.
In late September, the 79-year-old singer announced that she will postpone until September 2026 the six concerts she was scheduled to perform in Las Vegas in December this year due to unspecified health problems.
“As many know, I have faced some health issues and my doctors tell me that I need to undergo some procedures,” he explained in a statement published on X.
Parton noted that the treatments will prevent her from rehearsing and preparing for her show, “You guys pay good money to see me perform and I want to be at my best for you.”
Health problems will also prevent her from attending the Academy of Hollywood’s Governors Awards ceremony on November 16, where she will be honored with an honorary Oscar, according to The Hollywood Reporter at the end of September.
When the author of songs such as “Jolene”, “Here You Came Again” and “Islands in The Stream” announced that she was going to postpone her concerts, she ruled out that this postponement meant she was retiring from the stage: “I just need a little time to be ready for the show (…) and for more adventures with all of you,” she said at the time, reported Agencia EFE.
