Fluminense eliminates Al Hilal and goes to Club World Cup semifinals

Brazilian club Fluminense continues to write history in the 2025 Club World Cup. This Friday, in a thrilling match played at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium, they defeated Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal 2-1 to become the first semifinalists of the tournament.

In the 71st minute, a quick counterattack gave the Carioca team the lead for good.

Samuel Xavier sent a precise pass into the heart of the box, where Hercules finished with class, crossing his shot out of the reach of goalkeeper Bono.

The 2-1 scoreline sealed Fluminense’s place in the semifinals.
