Mexico’s Hirving “Chucky” Lozano made Heung Min Son’s debut a bitter disappointment and returned to shine in Major League Soccer (MLS), scoring a stunning goal in San Diego FC’s 2-1 win over Los Angeles FC (LAFC).
His goal, the ninth in his first season in the United States, spoiled South Korean star Heung Min Son’s debut in front of his new fans at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.

The match had historical overtones because it was Son’s debut as LAFC’s home player.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker, an idol in Asia and recognized as one of the best strikers in the Premier League in the last decade, had played his first three MLS away games.
He had already scored in that period, making his debut against FC Dallas.
However, Hirving Lozano was the star player in front of his home crowd.

In the 16th minute, Denis Bouanga gave LAFC the lead, taking advantage of a defensive error.
The goal cheered up the locals, but San Diego’s reaction was not long in coming.
In the 32nd minute, Lozano received a long pass from Denmark’s Anders Dreyer, controlled it with class, entered the box, cut back to his right foot and beat the goalkeeper with a low shot.
The move combined speed, technique and precision, qualities that have characterized the career of the former Pachuca and Napoli player.
